HomeWELCOME TO PERMACULTURE AND EDIBLE LANDSCAPINGFeb 2, 2008
I believe both these concepts will become very important as agriculture becomes decentralized due to future Peak Oil related fuel prices. This is a definition of Permaculture I found on the Better Times website,""CREATING SUSTAINABLE HUMAN HABITATS BY FOLLOWING NATURE'S PATTERNS".

This is the second group I've joined today. There's so much reading I need to do, I'll never get it all done! I've been trying to acquire wild medicinal plants to grow in my backyard. All I have so far is stinging nettle and bloodroot. And a bad case of poison ivy!

CARPAL TUNNEL RELEASE UPDATE: I had to get a nerve block on my right arm 04-15-09 for the carpal tunnel release after they finally found a vein for an IV in my right foot. The block was in my right shoulder area. They gave up trying to find a vein for the two IV's needed for the carpal tunnel release procedure used on my left wrist last time. I was awake this time during the entire procedue.I now realize that I couldn't have been awake for the entire procedure last time. They poked me at least 12 times with their dang needles trying to get a second IV started before they gave up finding another vein.I had the nerve block done with just one IV in my right foot.I had a bigger problem with the multiple attempted IV insertions than the actual carpal tunnel release operation which lasted less than 20 minutes.I was fully awake the entire time..
I wore a sling on my arm until I got the use of my right arm back 04-16-09.It was strange to have no control over my right arm for a few hours. ;-)

I just discovered your site from Grammy's Reading Room. I LOVE this site for all the information available. I am new to gardening, but have always been a good "keeper of the forest" as they say back home.
